Texas Windstorm Insurance is an insurance agency that represents multiple insurance companies. Instead of offering you a single company's price, we compare options from the carriers below to find the right combination of coverage and cost for your home.
Why working with multiple carriers matters on the Texas coast
Along the Texas coast, insurance companies change where and how they write wind and hail coverage often. A carrier that offers a great rate in one ZIP code may not write homes a few miles away. Because we work with several companies, we can shop your home across the carriers we represent and show you the options that actually fit your property.
Private carriers and TWIA
For many coastal homes, the best solution combines a private homeowners policy with windstorm coverage. When private wind and hail coverage is not available, we can help you apply to the Texas Windstorm Insurance Association (TWIA), which provides wind and hail coverage for eligible homes in the 14 coastal counties and parts of Harris County east of Highway 146. Learn more about Texas windstorm insurance and the WPI-8 certificates TWIA requires.

Insurance Company FAQs
Coastal insurance rates and underwriting rules vary a lot from company to company. When an agency can quote several carriers, you can compare coverage and price side by side instead of taking the only offer one company gives you. If your situation changes or a carrier stops writing in your area, we can look for another option.
The Texas Windstorm Insurance Association (TWIA) was created by the Texas Legislature to provide wind and hail coverage on the Texas coast when private insurers will not. It is often called the insurer of last resort. To qualify, you generally need a declination from a private insurer, a windstorm certificate of compliance for construction that needs one, and a home in good repair.
Yes. That is one of the main benefits of working with us. One quote request lets us compare options from the carriers we represent, and TWIA when you are eligible, so you can choose the coverage and price that fit your home.
